Lamborghini Driving Experience

There are a lot of tempting reasons for owning a superb car such as a Lamborghini. For the ultimate driving experience, for the opulence and the thrills. Sadly, like most people I am not quite rich enough to buy one.

At least there are also reasons NOT to own one. There’s the initial price tag, of course. Now think about the plethora of automated speed traps going up all over creation and the ease with which one could amass an enormous pile of tickets in a such a car.

For folks whose passion for driving and fine automobiles exceeds their credit limit or whose practicality outranks impulse, there are a number of places where you can drive a Lamborghini the way it is meant to be driven. You don’t have to buy the car; if you meet the criteria you can check out the Lamborghini driving experience on a professional track, far from all of big brother’s prying electronic eyes.

What do we need? And what do we get for our purchase price? You’ll need to be 18 and of course you need a driver’s license; the specifics vary by venue but you will probably need to have had it for at least a year. A long list of traffic violations might be a bad idea too. The maximum height is 6’4″ and maximum weight is 18 stone. A 492 horsepower engine must not leave much legroom for giants.

The whole thing will take an hour or two. You’ll get a crash course from a pro consisting of a short briefing and some practice laps. Then, take over the driver’s seat for some more high-velocity laps. Go home with a driving certificate and leave someone else to do the washing and waxing. (As well as filling the tank!)

Hypercar Experience

How do you fancy driving a selection of cars worth over half a million pounds? If that doesn’t tempt you what about a combined power output of 1752bhp? All from three cars. You’re probably now wondering what cars you get to drive. There is the Ferrari 599 GTB F1. This is considered to be the best handling Ferrari ever made by many motoring journalists. Having 631bhp delivered via four wheel drive forces you back into the seat. It has so much power in fact, that under hard acceleration, the traction control system has to step in during third and fourth gear, it still wants to spin all four wheels! Get ready for your first real taste of hypercars.

Your experience will begin with a welcome, introduction and safety briefing on circuit driving techniques. You will then typically receive demonstration laps with an instructor. This will be followed by driving three to four laps around a two mile circuit in this dream selection: the Aston Martin DBS, the Ferrari 599 GTB F1 and the Lamborghini LP640. At the end you will be rewarded with an individual Driving Certificate. Extra driving laps and passenger rides can be purchased on the day.
